Two new men’s and women’s premier teams in the Port Moresby Soccer Association will emerge as premiers from tomorrow’s grand finals at the Bisini Soccer ground.
The association has foregone two seasons of football for various reasons and the four finalists will be out to be the champions at the new soccer facility under the Port Moresby heat.
In the main challenge at 2pm, Mungkas face off with University in the men’s premier division, while in the women’s premier division Mungkas lock horns with Guria at noon.
The men’s division one final between Seeadler and Keleiruna, which is a curtain raiser, kicks off at 10am. In the men’s premier division minor premiers Mungkas start as the favourites over University but the long break may affect their fitness.
Mungkas have had a week’s break while University ousted Maclarens 4-2 in the preliminary final last weekend. This will be a different ball game as both sides would want to end the season on high note.
Mungkas are determined to make a double celebration for both their men’s and women’s divisions to claim the title.
The presentation of awards will follow immediately after the men’s premier grade grand final tomorrow afternoon.
