Simla eye EPC title

SIMLA Football Club’s women’s team are setting their sights firmly on the 2017 Eastern Papua Cup as the tournament heads into its semifinals this weekend.
They play Maiyela in the knockout at Bava Park.
In the other women’s knock out POM Kinita faces Solgen.
The two winners advance to the grand final on Sunday.
Simla players have matured and developed their well enough to make the 2015 grand final only to lose3-0 to Avis Keri.
This year looks a lot more promising for the team as they have some Port Moresby Soccer Association players like Damaris Serubi, Dora Wibeawa, Lucy Wibeawa, Velis Airo (Simla’s leading goal scorer), Carmelina Mwadeda, Pauline Constantinou and Priscilla Napoleon, who have boosted their premiership campaign.
The team have come a long way and are determined progress beyond this weekend’s semifinals to book a spot in the grand final.
