North Fly looking forward to Western leg of Ipatas Cup

NORTH Fly is looking forward to the Western leg of the Coca-Cola Ipatas Cup (CICC), coordinator John Passingan says.
Passingan said many clubs had approached the organisers to register their interest to compete in the Western leg. “The North Fly community is very happy to host the inaugural CCIC Western challenge in Kiunga,” Passingan said.
“Many clubs from all corners of the district are passionate to compete in this inaugural event.
“Two clubs from the Star Mountain LLG in Tabubil, Min Riders and another from Bultem village near Ok Tedi mine were the first to approach us.
“More clubs from the Kiunga and Tabubil rugby leagues will be fielding their teams in the tournament.”
Passingan said the organisers and Kiunga Rugby League (KRL)president Roy Kakarere were expected to hold discussions next week to determine the number of participating KRL teams.
