Ravu says 50 teams confirmed to compete at Southern 9s

WITH less than two weeks to go before the Southern Nines tournament kicks, interest continues to grow.
Sportz Events director and founder Ivan Ravu said 50 teams had confirmed their participation.
Ravu said an invitation had been extended to women’s teams but due to lack of interest, the division would not be included this year.
Ravu said Coast Brothers were preparing to defend their crown.
Ravu said the teams that had settled their tournament fees were KYC Panthers, Hogeta Eagles, Geita Rebels, Davage Sharks, Kelerakwa Breeds, MBB Marlins, City Dogs, EA Froggies, Erima Laumas, Keakalo Malagana, Baruni Seal, Buria Reds, B Limestones, Boera Sailors, Benpro Rebels, BIPS Patu 1 and 2, Gereka Huala, Kelekoupa, Kouderika Vipers, Pom Mix, RIL Roasdsiders, Seligele Eels, Stripling Warriors, EA Brothers, Velerupu Warriors, Waidex Blue and Gold, Wairavanua, Western Balas and Western Flyers.
Ravu said the teams that had yet to settle their fees had until Wednesday to do so.
