NZ team arrives with PPE

A TEAM of New Zealand soldiers arrived in Papua New Guinea on Saturday with about 6,000kg of essential personal protective equipment for health workers.
The Royal New Zealand Air Force Boeing 757-2K2 touched down with hand sanitiser, gloves, safety goggles, face masks and face shields, gowns and sharps containers.
The soldiers will also be providing health planning and logistics support as part of a New Zealand team helping PNG with its Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic response.
The deployment followed a request by the Government for humanitarian and medical support to help deal with a surge in Covid-19 cases.
