Official urges teachers to accept their postings made by board

AN education official has told teachers to accept their posting as decided by the provincial education board.
Southern Highlands provincial administrator Jerry David issued the warning after some teachers burned the postings list on the notice board of the provincial administration office last week.
The teachers did not want the postings politicised.
But David said the provincial education board was the sole authority on teacher postings which teachers must follow.
“Not all decisions made will be in your favor and all decisions have consequences,” he said.
Teacher return to school on Jan 24 while classes resume on Jan 31. He said education was a priority of the administration and urged parents to prepare their children properly for school.
Attempts to get comments from acting provincial education adviser Mark Pus were unsuccessful.
