Ogio receives by-election writs

 GOVERNOR-General Sir Michael Ogio has received the writs for the Angoram Open by-election from Electoral Commissioner Andrew Trawen.

The by-election was conducted in conjunction with the recent local level government election. The seat was left vacant followng the passing of Ludwig Schulz who had won the seat at the 2012 general election.

The by-election was won by National Alliance candidate Salio Waipo. Sir Michael praised Trawen, the Electoral Commission and the people of Angoram for a peaceful and successful by-election.
