Olam debut

Letters

I CONGRATULATE Justin Olam on his NRL debut and being the second Papua New Guinea national to earn a spot in the Melbourne Storms’ top grade side.
It was a thrilling performance by him, proving all his worth in the top grade.
A raw product following the footprints of one of PNG’s legends, Marcus Bai, back in the 1990s.
I am a local Papua New Guinea league follower.
I acknowledge the Melbourne Storms’ management and head coach Greg Bellamy for having trust in another Papua New Guinea local player to ply his trade in the NRL.
It is a great start to a wonderful journey ahead for Justin Olam, who has made Papua New Guinea proud once again.
We wish all local players playing overseas the best of luck in their career, and thank them once again for putting Papua New Guinea on the map.
It is our time to shine.
PNG em yu ya!
