O’Neill attends Sia’s campaign rally in Lufa

IALIBU-Pangia MP and People’s National Congress Party leader Peter O’Neill is visiting rural and remote communities to ensure people have a chance to meet candidates and hear of their policies.
The former prime minister was in mountainous Gouna village, Mt Michael local level government (LLG) of Lufa in Eastern Highlands yesterday for regional candidate Simon Sia’s campaign rally there.
Sia, a prominent businessman, has been a longtime resident of the province who has continued to support it in whatever ways he can.
One of his notable contribution was the sponsorship of the Bintagor Goroka Lahanis Ruby League club.
PNC had endorsed candidates for eight of the nine seats in Eastern Highlands except Lufa open seat.
The candidates for the seven open seats are Kainantu – Elvis Morris, Obura-Wonenara – Mehrra Minne Kipefa, Okapa – Simeon Kibeto, Henganofi – Robert Atiyafa, Unggai-Bena – Benny Allan, Goroka – Henry Ame and Daulo – Henry Dua Bagme.
