Osborne’s actions show Launa no courtesy

The National, Wednesday September 11th, 2013

IT was saddening  to see  the lack of courtesy and protocol given to Iammo Launa when she was removed as managing director of the PNG Sports Federation.

When department heads are removed, they get a written notice from the relevant minister or the National Executive Council and given proper farewells.

There is no need to change the locks or lock people out.

This is not the behaviour of civilised people.

I am shocked that board chairman Graham Osborne went this far.

The National’s photograph showing Osborne locking Launa out should have been captioned, “Foreigner locking prominent national out in own country”.

I thought Osborne’s actions were disgraceful to say the least.

I am surprised Papua New Guineans are not making a big issue out of this.
