Our MPs abusing God’s name

The National,Friday23 December 2011

I agree with The Samaritan (The National, Dec 21) who said we need a
new Parliament House.
It was a response to my letter earlier this week.
However, my point is MPs are politicians, not church ministers.
They are playing a game that defies logic.
They do not follow the Lord’s instructions.
If they did, they would not say and do some of the things that they did.
God’s men display the fruits of the Spirit – peace, suffering, goodness, faith, gentleness, humility and temperance (Galatians 5.22,23).
Temperance has to do with self-control, which is seen when someone is rational with what he says.
Men who talk when they are angry do not exhibit this quality.
Our MPs have used God’s name irreverently.
If you put a spiritually-clean person in the house, the Spirit in him (if he is submissive to it) should clean up the house.
And no puripuri, marila or maienduo sorcerers or spirits will stop such a person from doing what he is called to do.
That, I think is the prayer of all citizens.
