PORT Moresby Rugby League women’s competition pace-setters Paga Panthers continued their winning form with a 10-4 win over Sisters at the National Football Stadium on Saturday.
It was a fitting send off for departing player Gloria John Kaupa, who returned to Goroka on Sunday.
Paga lead the competition on eight points having won all of their last four games.
The Go Go Cola Hawks are also unbeaten on seven points and with surprise package Northern Motel Butterflies on five points.
Paga hooker Roswita Kapo was a standout scoring a try while fullback Catherine Anjo grabbed the side’s other four-pointer.
Sisters’ points came from a try by winger Elly Max, who scored the first points of the match in the first half.
Paga, with PNG Orchid trio Kaupa, Janet Michael and Vanessa Palme, led their side well against Brenda Goro’s troops to maintain their winning form in the premier women’s comp.
The halftime score was 4-4.
