Pageant contestants thank sponsors for supporting women empowerment

THE five girls contesting the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant PNG are meeting the pageant sponsors to thank them for supporting women empowerment through education.
They were at bmobile-Vodafone yesterday – the official communications partner for the pageant.
Pageant chairwoman Molly O’Rourke thanked the company for providing SMS voting this year.
“I want to thank you for your support on behalf of MPIP PNG, especially with providing the SMS voting which is big this year,” she said.
She said the pageant started on Sunday with a church service. The five contestants visited the Port Moresby Blood Bank on Monday to donate blood.
They visited the Buk Bilong Pikinini at Koki Market on Wednesday where they distributed Christmas gifts to children living in the settlements.
Nathaniel Lepani, the national marketing manager for bmobile-Vodafone said they were
providing the SMS platform for people to vote for their favourite contestant.
The winner will be named Miss bmobile-Vodafone People’s Choice. The company will provide free Wi-Fi at the crowning night.
