PARI village in the capital received some good tidings for the festive period yesterday with Eda Ranu turning on 31 taps with fast-flowing water after 15 years without a water supply.
The water project, costing K390,000, was an early Christmas gift from the Minister for Sports and Moresby South MP Justin Tkatchenko, who made the funding available and worked with Eda Ranu to make it a reality.
Addressing the villagers, Tkatchenko said he had fulfilled his promise to bring water supply into Pari village in his first 100 days in office and said that was not the last of the projects planned for the village.
