PORT Moresby Nature Park will have a new programme to roll out during the Christmas period to entertain city residents, an official says.
This was revealed during the park’s official launching of inaugural 2020 event ‘Moni Plus Christmas in the Park’ last week.
Nature Park chief executive officer Michelle McGeorge thanked the event partners for their support in making this inaugural event a possibility.
“The Nature Park sees the event as a big opportunity for us to reach out to the general public to come and experience a great time of enjoyment, fun and cheer of Christmas while also in the environment of PNG’s natural flora and fauna,” she said.
According to Nature Park the event would begin on Nov 14 and end on Dec 31.
The visitors will be able to view ‘Christmas Wonderlands’ throughout the park together, including vibrant decorations and themes.
Each weekend in December the park, which is also sponsored by The National ,will be hosting fun activities in partnership with the Active City Development programme.
Nature Park’s creative services and events manager, Michael Bolokan said: “This is the first time we have done this event as the team decided that we needed to make this year spectacular”.
