Parkop’s land title deals unfair

Letters

WHY is the National Capital District Governor Powes Parkop supporting illegal settlements by giving them land titles when genuine workers in the city are struggling to own a house, let alone a piece of land with title.
Just some months ago, Parkop, Lands Minister John Rosso and Housing Minister Justin Tkatchenko gave a piece of land with titles at Saraga.
And now, the governor is supporting the Buswara settlement with a similar arrangement.
Is this the formal process of owning a piece of land in the city?
Do we have to become illegal settlers in order to earn land titles?
On one hand, the governor wants to reduce law and order issues, prevent illegal settlers, andstop the spread of the Covid-19 in the city but his actions in the news recently is contradicting.
Why can’t Parkop and other relevant ministers talk about reviewing laws on real estate, reducing rental fees and lowering the cost of owning a home in the city?
