BRIAN Bell’s partnership with small and medium enterprise (SME) dealers is a platform that provides quality products to more customers in the country, chief executive officer Cameron Mackellar says.
Mackellar said Brian Bell currently had more than 30 dealers who were mall and medium enterprises that were operating their own stores and selling products from the white goods, kitchen and electronic and furniture store which they got at discounted prices.
“We have more than 30 dealers who trade directly with us and sell a variety of our product lines throughout the country,” he said.
“We are aligned with particular retailing businesses and operators around the country that tend to be in provincial locations where Brian Bell does not have any store representation like Alotau, Bougainville, Kavieng and many other locations throughout the Highlands.
“These locations are important in order to provide as many customers as possible access to our products and this is a great way to ensure our quality products get to customers.
“Our dealers are carefully selected and do a great job representing our branded products and enjoy not having to source small quantities from overseas markets or deal with foreign currency issues.
“We take care of all the logistics, freighting various products to all parts of the country.
“Our dealer arrangements are all formal agreements.
“They enjoy high quality branded merchandise from Brian Bell at a discounted rate.”
Mackellar said Brian Bell’s dealer network has been in place for many years and was an important part of its overall business operation.
“In the future, we would also would like to establish an e-commerce (commercial transactions conducted electronically on the internet) platform which would also allow more customers in remote locations to potentially shop with us,” he said.
