Pastor pledges support for govt

A CHURCH leader has pledged support for the Government in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Body of Christ executive Ps Daniel Hewali said churches would assist in the awareness campaign started by the Government this week.
“Churches are ready to partner with the Government,” he said.
“We have provided our facilities for the teams to carry out a sensitisation workshop for stakeholders.”
Ps Hewali said the churches would advocate on behavioural change.
“The lockdown in the city is an opportunity to reflect and take stock of our lives and to stop doing bad things,” he said.
“Behavioural change is only through the passion of Christ. We need to surrender our lives to God and make a turnaround in our lives.”
Ps Hewali said a change in behaviour only came through God.
“As a body of Christ, we have been praying for the nation and the situation that is currently happening with the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
“There are prayer houses established in all the provinces.”
