Pastor praises govt for policy

 EDUCATION is the key to a good life but many parents in the past have been unable to meet the cost of sending their children to school because of the fees, a pastor says.

Pentecostal Church Pastor, Elijah Psalmson Ate, from Western Highlands, said the Government’s free education policy is a big relief to parents, guardians, students and all schools throughout the country.

“Think about how much parents could pay for children attending secondary and high schools,” Ate said. 

“They could pay a lot of money but now that the government is paying for the fees it is helping the parents to save up and focus on other needs in life.”

He said that the nation must know that a good leadership will always lead the people to a right direction.

“That is what the government of Prime Minister Peter O’Neill is doing and I want to call on the leaders, politicians and parliamentarians not to try and spoil the good foundation that this government is establishing for the nation through education,” he said.
