People urged to never give up faith

People in Chimbu’s Kainantu town have been urged to be strong and never give up on their faith in God.
Seventh-day Adventist Church Pastor Steve Stephenson issued this encouragement during the recent ‘PNG for Christ’ Evangelistic Reaping Campaign in Kainantu.
Pastor Stephenson and speakers Kim Cross and Annalie Bird were in Kainantu for the campaign from April 26 to May 11.
Stephenson said the three of them turned down a dinner at Goroka because they didn’t want to have dinner with strangers, they would rather spend their time with their family in Kainantu during their last day.
“We are taking Kainantu with us to Australia, Kainantu has touched our hearts and we have touched their hearts so we will never forget our Kainantu family,” said Stephenson.
He prayed for the people and urged them to be committed to the lord.
Kainantu church elder Mark Opoe said Kainantu was privileged to have three guest speakers for the campaign.
Opoe said during the 16 days in Kainantu, Stepehson and his colleagues had impacted the lives of many people in Kainantu through the PNG for Christ evangelistic meeting and had baptised 784 persons.
Those newly baptised members were also urged to take part in the dawn prayer to strengthen their faith, and overcome the earthly pleasures and temptations.
