Plan your travel: Airline

Business

IT is that busy period of travel and people have been urged to plan properly, according to PNG Air.
Acting chief commercial officer Nancy Nakikus said business was brisk with around 11,000 tickets sold between Wednesday and Friday.
“We have been very busy, it is across the country on our domestic flights,” she said.
Nakikus said this was more than the normal numbers and would require the airline to prepare for the expected increase in travel by the public.
“We are planning with manpower, making sure resources are there, we’re also looking at our check-ins as well, to make sure that people are not standing in line too long.
“We are seeing a lot of demand in certain areas, especially in the Highlands region, and East New Britain, the NGI (New Guinea Islands) side.”
