Planners in Highlands reviewing Act

PROVINCIAL and district planners in the Highlands will have their input in the Planning and Monitoring Responsibility Act (PMRA).
The PMRA review workshop started in Goroka for Highlands this week with participants from provincial administrations in Eastern Highlands, Chimbu and Jiwaka.
National Planning and Monitoring Department deputy secretary Michael Kumung started at the Office of Planning and Finance under the Department of Finance from the early 80s to the 90s before being created a national department.
“As we progress, the need to coordinate development becomes extremely serious for the country,” he said.
