MOROBE forestry chairman Waka Daimon says plans have made to plant trees in grasslands stretching from Huon Gulf’s Wampar to Markham and further. “Communities must learn to look after the environment by planting trees after every harvest for sustainable green environment for future generations,” he said. Daimon, who is also Watut local level government president in Bulolo, said: “We are a big province with many grassland areas. “I want to get people to plant trees but the problem is funding. “We have many logging companies operating in the province and they do not replant the trees that they fell.  “They must plant the same tree that they fell.”
