Plans underway to hold provincial day

 THE 2013 Gulf Day in Port Moresby on Nov 30 promises to be bigger and better with heaps of activities.

The event is scheduled for the Ted Diro Primary School and will be opened by Gulf Governor Havila Kavo and closed by Kerema MP, Richard Mendani.

Gulf Day coordinator Peter Severa, said the day would feature a variety of events, including a motorcade float parade around the city, a beauty contest for Mr and Miss Gulf province 2013, traditional dances, arts and crafts, face-painting and raffle draws.

“We will have live band performances from talented musicians of the province in the likes of Lamaika, Robert Oeka, Brixie, Se Beats, OBM Crew, BJ Nagura and Seika Lui,” he said.

The theme of the day is uniting and promoting Gulf province through culture.

Sereva said the event was scheduled to start at 7am and finish at 4pm.
