YANEPA Haus, the decision making office, service delivery central
command and policy making chambers for the eight districts in Eastern Highlands is becoming a scouting zone for individuals supporting faction group for claim to power.
Our people are being deprived of service delivery while the struggle for PA (provincial administration) position between different faction groups continues to hamper service delivery.
The police in Goroka are nowhere near to control the situation, leaders of the province are far from the office to assess and ease the situation which leaves the situation to the hands of some disputing factions of individuals to claim their right to power without due consideration of the law.
The normal daily office hours is affected with this uncontrolled behaviour.
Business are fearful of their stock items and are always anticipating to shut their gate while the expanse of time and resource of every genuine employers and employees of Goroka town is squandered away because of the actions of this few individuals.
Recorded there is 500-plus potholes along Eastern Highlands boundaries of the Okuk Highway, health and education service needs strategic planning and monitoring and law order issue in and around Goroka town becomes everyone’s nightmare.
We do not have time and resource to fight for power in Yanepa Haus but to serve the people of Eastern Highlands.
Please respect the rule of law and let order prevail for people to prosper.
