PM’s Danish trip a joy ride?

Letters, Normal

THE government spent about K8 million for about 30 people to attend Copenhagen meeting on climate change at the end of last year.
The huge expense and the number of people who attended that important meeting showed that the government was serious about the environmental matters at that time.
Or was it just a joy trip?
Considering the government amended the law on the environment that was just passed in Parliament two weeks ago, it seemed that way.
The PM cannot stand up hypocritically and blame other nations for damaging the environment when he got our Parliament to give the green light for the mining companies to do damage to the environment which cannot be questioned by the people of this land.
Our government needs to settle down and do things transparently so that laws or amendments, when passed, are for the good of the people as well and not just for foreign investors and the MPs own personal profits.
