PMBL pre-season engages youths

THE Papua New Guinea Men’s Basketball League (PMBL) has included a youth team for the pre-season in an effort to develop players in the semi-professional competition.
The PMBL Youths is made up of players between the ages of 16 and 20.
The teams confirmed for this season are Moni Plus (formerly Tamaraws), KSS Southern Flames, Exodus, Saints and Chariots.
A PMBL statement said the deadline for affiliation fees and player registration had not been discussed yet.
The affiliation fee is K10,000 per franchise.
The PMBL board is made up of all franchise owners, where if they are not available, club presidents sit in for meetings.
Meanwhile, the pre-season will see teams playing for prizes provided by KSS.
