PMSA talks revised calendar

THE Port Moresby Soccer Association (PMSA) says it is discussing a revised calendar following the cancellation of this year’s competition due to the uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic.
President Joseph Ealedona said a meeting with his executives would determine specifics of the shortened season while finalising a Covid-19 protocol.
“I have called a meeting to discuss our revised calendar and our PMSA Covid-19 protocol before we call another gathering for club delegates,” he said.
“My proposal to the executives is to kick-off our condensed competition on July 4, which is pending approval from the Papua New Guinea Sports Foundation.
“While waiting, I urge all players to begin or resume training to avoid injury when games kick off.
“I thank you all for your continued patience and understanding but in any case, get ready.”
Meanwhile, Ealedona said recently that the Bisini Soccer Ground facilities were inadequate and continue to deteriorate which remained a major problem.
