THE Port Moresby Soccer Association will head into round two of its pre-season competition this weekend with 30 teams participating across four divisions.
Competition coordinator Peter Matthew said only men’s teams were competing in the pre-season that kicked off last weekend due to the limited number of women’s teams.
“Our pre-season will run for four weeks before the season kicks off on May 28,” he told The National.
“We have nine premier teams, eight for the first division, seven for the second division and six youth (Under-23) sides.
“There are no women’s pre-season matches, but they will take part in the season.
“The closing date for registration fees is on May 20.
“The fees for the 2022 season is K2,300 per club as well as K3 per player.”
Fixtures: Sat, May 7 – Mungkas v Mamose Blue, Mariners v Murat, Genesis Black v PS Ruts, Mungkas Senior v University; Sun, May 8 – Mamose Blue v Yamaros, Rapatona v West Gilu, Mungkas v Seeadler.
