PNG Lewas’ Ara’a hits 50 off 46 balls

PAPUA New Guinea Lewas’ Vicky Ara’a scored an impressive half-century for Ipswich/Logan Cricket Club against Sunshine Coast in round 14 of the 2018/19 Jodie Fields Shield in Queensland, Australia, on Sunday.
Batting first at the Ivor Marsden Memorial Park, Ipswich/Logan posted an impressive 173/5 off their allotted 40 overs.
The innings started steadily, with Ipswich/Logan racing to 43/2 before Ara’a posted her highest score of the season, scoring 50 runs off just 46 balls which included six boundaries.
Ara’a was supported by Sarah Grove who made 38 runs.
In an incredible chase, Sunshine Coast were bowled out for 173 off the second last ball of the innings.
Ara’a finished with bowling figures of 0-3 off two overs and executing a run-out throughout the innings.
