PNG Rugby holds clinic for NCDRU

PAPUA New Guinea Rugby Union (PNGRU) held a clinic for 17 Capital District Rugby Union (NCDRU) coaches and trainers last week, in an effort to raise the standard of the Port Moresby competition.
The two-day clinic was held at Sir Hubert Murray Stadium.
“We identified 17 members from all our clubs who attended the clinic at the PNGRU office at Hubert Murray Stadium,” NCDRU operations manager Oral Michael told The National.
“The 10 coaches and seven trainers underwent training online and practical for two days, to world standards to equip clubs in the competition.
“NCDRU is a community-based competition and our goal is to lift the standard of the game.
“We want to build our players.
“But to do so, we must have qualified coaches and trainers who can provide much-needed quality coaching and training for players to lift the standard of the competition.”
The participants were Bartholomew Levi (coach), Bevan Grant (trainer), Bella Manau (coach), Alfred Kamenyaf (trainer), Nigel Joseph (coach), Raymond Bruno (trainer), Joshua Tagete (trainer), Wilfred Peko (coach), Samuel Kanau (coach), Tony Charlie (coach), Henry Maipu (coach), Willie Oai (trainer), Barnabas Guni (coach), Manda Ipat (coach), Norman Wari (trainer), Wale Manuga (trainer), John Harry (coach).
