FANS will be able to watch National Soccer League Southern Conference matches live on EMTV, thanks to an agreement between the Papua New Guinea Football Association and Media Niugini Limited.
The broadcast will, however, start from round nine (Sept 18) to the grand final.
Interim EMTV chief executive Lesieli Vete said the matches would also be broadcast live on Telikom TV and their Facebook page.
She said they would also provide training and assistance to the association for Northern Conference matches in Lae.
EMTV is proud to partner the association again this year to broadcast games in Port Moresby to the rest of the nation,” Lesieli said.
“It will be live, free and exclusive on EMTV.
“We will broadcast selected matches in Port Moresby.
“Unfortunately we are not able to branch out to Lae this year. That’s something that we can work on for the coming years as we improve our capacity.
“We will also be providing support to the association in terms of enhancing their live-stream production from Lae.”
Association president John Kapi Natto said they were excited about the partnership which would enable people across the country to watch league games live.
Meanwhile, Saturday’s round-five matches had seen the return of spectators to Lae’s Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium and Port Moresby’s PNG Football Stadium.
But Deputy National Pandemic Response Controller Dr Daoni Esorom’s approval only allows 30 per cent seating capacity with strict Coronavirus protocols.
