Police investigate death of teens

TWO youths suspected of being involved in a bus robbery were allegedly killed by the vehicle owner and his relatives in Northern several weeks ago.
Popondetta police station commander Chief Sgt Edric Boira said an illegal roadblock at Siai road was set up by six men wearing masks and K1,000 worth of cash was stolen from the owner of the 25-seater bus.
Sgt Boira said after robbing the occupants, the men smashed the windows of the bus before escaping.
He said the driver of the bus then gathered his clansmen and pursued the robbers.
Two youths, aged 19 and 17, from Binandere were caught and beaten and taken to Agenambo where they were killed.
He said the bus driver and his relatives were from Agenambo.
Sgt Boira alleged that the group brought the youths to Agenambo in the evening at a business premises and killed the pair there.
Sgt Boira said no arrests had been made yet as police were investigating the incident.
