Police moves into 6-Mile shopping centre

A COP shop police post has open at a shopping centre in 6-Mile, Port Moresby.
Businessman Kalam Rahman, the managing director of KR Group Limited, said police presence at shops and bus stops was important.
The 6-Mile shopping centre and bus stop have been a haven for criminals.
“People are not safe going around doing their daily business, and that’s not good,” Rahman said.
He said the company and police at 6-Mile were working together to address criminal activities there.
The cop shop cost more than K20,000. It will be manned by at least four police officers.
6-Mile police station commander Fred Hussien Barre thanked the company for assisting police.
National Capital District police operations commander Michael Tilae told the people to make use of the new police post and look after the service to serve the community.
