Police nab drug growers

POLICE in East New Britain (ENB) have arrested two men for allegedly cultivating and selling marijuana.
The Kokopo police response unit and Mobile 17 squad members acting on a tip-off went to Watwat village in the Sulka area of Bitapaka local level government where they uprooted 431 mature marijuana plants.
ENB provincial police commander Snr Insp Joseph Tabali, said police also confiscated 50 packets of marijuana that would have sold for K50 each.
The two suspects are in custody at the Kokopo police cell.
