POLICE in Manus have urged six youths, who allegedly tied up a male to the post of a house because he had an affair with one of their girlfriends and assaulted him, to surrender.
Police commander Chief Insp David Yapu said the victim was tied to the post of a house and assaulted at the Buyang Primary School in the Tetidu local level government area.
He said the victim was alleged to have had an affair with one of the suspects’ girlfriend.
He added that the suspects used knives, tree branches and fists to assault the victim.
“As a result, the victim sustained multiple knife lacerations and multiple blunt trauma and soft tissue injuries to his body,” Chief Insp Yapu said.
“He was treated at Lorengau General Hospital and later reported the matter to police.”
Chief Insp Yapu said police was aware of the identities of the suspects and had communicated with a ward councillor for their surrender.
“Such behaviour by the youths is inhuman and unacceptable and could lead to someone’s death due to excessive forces used.”

  • Hold on here is a very interesting case: PNG is known and decleared by virtue of oats in the core of our Constitution and recognized world-wide as a Black Christian Nation.
    Now, my Bible tells me Sex (affair) outside legal marriage is Fornication or Adultery if one is married and there a MORAL CRIME!!!!! Damaged that is catalyzing Moral Decay in PNG today!

    Lets look at the BOTH side of the story! If you say NO then;

    #PNG is becoming Unchristian like!
