ACTING Eastern Highlands police commander Chief Insp Paul Nacca has warned groups involved in a fight in Goroka to stop or face the full force of the police. He told the two factions from Mamboo market outside Goroka town that if any side instigated violence in the community, police would act immediately and arrest and charge them.
Nacca said his officers had already stopped fighting which started on Aug 28 after the death of a young man during a drunken brawl the previous day.
He said the mediation between both sides had already seen an end to hostilities but warned that any violence instigated would be dealt with by law enforcement who would act to protect innocent people as well as public and private property.
