AN accused policeman involved in the brutality incident along the Hohola Poreporena Freeway had his case adjourned to Feb 21 as investigations continue.
Richard Koipa, 29, of Kiminiga village in Hagen Central, Western Highlands, is one of the five police officers who was involved in the incident that went viral on social media.
He was charged with one count of malicious injury and four counts of grievous bodily harm.
Police said the charge of murder would be added after obtaining post-mortem results of a diseased victim (Nelson Lari) if his death was related to the nature of the objects and access force used during the assault.
The same would be done to his co-accused Nathan Manikumbu, Aiden Posong and Gary Katamog who were all arrested and charged.
