Political interference

Letters

THERE is much talk about political influence, appointments, and cronyism in the public service, which is rife.
We cannot deny that.
Eastern Highlands is one province that suffers from this problem.
While this is going on, the people suffer and miss out on opportunities.
Why is the national Government playing along with the wishes of politicians at the expense of the ordinary people?
It’s about time the public service minister intervenes to stop this cancer in the province.
Further, if the sidelined provincial administrator is correct that there is a conflict of interest in the awarding of contracts, there needs to be an investigation.
This is the last thing the Eastern Highlands people want to see.
