Poll petition claims made

IT has been brought to light that some MPs are offering petitioners and their lawyers huge sums of money to drop election petitions.
Is this not perverting the course of justice?
They are also bribing witnesses to change their stories for amounts ranging from K1000 to K10, 000.
Is this not interference with witnesses?
In one case, it is alleged that a petitioner’s lawyer was offered K1 million in cash to settle out of court the petition filed against the MP.
I repeat: K1 million in cash
Ascension by anyone to public office such as that of MP is earned and not purchased.
Buying power has no legitimacy to govern.
