Roadside rubbish woes

THE alternate road that leads from the main market at Maprik to New Town is filled with rubbish.
Members of the public often express disgust while passing through.
It is totally sickening and an eyesore to see and walk over waste and drain water that passes down the walkway and out to the river.
Can the good town mayor do something to clean up the drain and fix the old road to New Town?
The public is now using this road as the only and shortest route to New Town and back.
