Pom South league heads into qualifying finals

PORT Moresby South Rugby League defending champions Warako Storm are one game away from the grand final as the competition heads into its qualifying finals on Sunday.
The action gets underway at the Sir Bill Skate Oval, Kaugere, with the winners in the A grade, women’s and Under-20s advancing to the preliminary finals next week.
In the A grade fixture at 1.50pm Koki Eels take on Southern Sons with the winner to play MTSL Vadavada United in the preliminary final.
At 3.30pm, the Vikings take on the L&A Bulldogs with the winner to play the Warako Storm. In the women’s game at 1130am Gabutu Dragons face off with the Vikings with the winner advancing to play the Storm.
At 1240pm, the Talai Spartans clash with MK West and the victor then plays the Kone Sharks in the women’s preliminary final. In the first U20s game at 9am, the Southern Sons do battle with the Kone Sharks and the winner meets the Joyce Bay Roosters.
At 1020am, the Sub City Raiders take on the Storm with the winner set to meet MK West.
Moresby South chairman Brown Murema commended the clubs for managing their teams and supporters well throughout the season.
He called for the community in the Moresby South electorate to attend the games on Sunday and support their teams and enjoy the day.
