Pomat’s actions suspicious

Letters

THE unanimous Supreme Court ruling that Speaker Joe Pomat unlawfully recalled Parliament on Nov 17 is seen as blatant abuse of the power he is vested with.
Pomat’s action in overruling the deputy speaker Koni Iguan’s earlier ruling on Nov 13 clearly manifests that he had a personal interest in the matter.
He may have been coerced into recalling parliament in exchange for his pending criminal charges against him to be dropped.
He is accused of misusing parliamentary funds.
The speaker after all is a MP and he is not immune.
He can be referred to appropriate bodies such as the Ombudsman Commission and tried under the leadership tribunal.
