Popondetta police question trio over man’s death

THE Criminal Investigation Division in Popondetta is investigating the death of a man in Gona, Ijivitari district, Northern.
Acting provincial police commander Chief Sergeant Edric Boera told The National that three men had been taken in for questioning.
He said the man had been drinking with others and was attacked while on his way home.
“One person was involved but, other youths got involved causing injuries to other members of the community,” he said.
“The situation is under control and our detectives are continuing their investigations into the incident.”
Meanwhile, Boera said there had been no further announcement on the appointment of the provincial police commander and the provincial station commander.
