Popondetta RL chose Oresi as president

FORMER Sohe MP Peter Oresi is the Popondetta Rugby League’s new president.
Club delegates from the NM Bulldogs, Medics, Brothers, Panthers, Waghi Tumbe and Kokoda Rangers elected Oresi unopposed.
Oresi, who has supported rugby league in Oro through the Northern Motel Bulldogs in the town league as well as his involvement in Port Moresby Rugby League club Butterflies, brings 30 years of management and sponsorship experience to the position.
Oresi made a commitment to affiliate Popondetta league to the PNG Rugby Football League through the Southern Confederate at the national body’s annual general meeting on Feb 26 in Lae.
Oresi said the Popondetta league’s special general meeting minutes of his election were minuted and copies sent to Southern Confederate director Gwaibo Mairi and PNGRFL chairman Sandis Tsaka.
The other positions in the Popondetta league voted unopposed were deputy administrator of Oro Sibolo Kila as senior vice-president, Sonny Sesevi junior vice-president, Saunders Kageni as secretary and Robin Surute as Saunders Kageni.
