POREPORENA finished their unbelievable season unbeaten with a comfortable 76-run win over United Grey in the ITI Port Moresby Cricket Association women’s T20 final.
Poreporena posted an impressive 126/5 with Brenda Tau and Norma Ovasuru both top-scoring with 26 runs while Sibona Jimmy (2-17) picked up a couple of wickets for United.
United were unable to get on top of the Poreporena bowlers, losing regular wickets to be eventually bowled out for a disappointing 50 runs in 16.3 overs.
Ravini Oa (2-7) and Ovasuru (2-7) were the pick of the Poreporena bowlers.
In other grand final results, Wanderers beat Coasters by 48 runs in the Under-18 division while Pari were too strong for the Coasters in the U16 division, winning by 17 runs.
In the premier division, Hoods beat Coasters by five wickets and then in the semifinal, the Keapara side outmuscled Raukele by three wickets with Raho Sam starring with both bat (41 not out) and ball (3-16).
In the reserve grade, Pari and Raukele Greenface off in the final on Saturday.
Pari qualified for the final after defeating Raukele Green in the qualifying final by five wickets.
Raukele Green bounced back after their 50-run qualifying final loss to in the preliminary final to advance to the grand final.
