Alotau soccer association club returns to comp with new name

LAGIMU Football Club has made a retrun to the Alotau soccer scene after a 11-year absence.
But its reincarnation is under new name FC Bisoco.
According to former Lagimu player Mattlam Tabunaielo, the reason the club had stopped taking part in the local competition was because they did not have enough players coming through the ranks.
Tabunaielo said he was making a comeback not a player, but as an administrator and a manager of the new club.
“It was not easy to make such decision to come up with a new club,” Tabunaielo said.
He said the name of the club was taken from the fact that Milne Bay was situated between three seas and the name honoured that.
“It’s, BI for the Bismarck Sea; SO for the Solomon Sea and CO for the Coral Sea. It’s BI-SO-CO,” Tabunaielo said.
