THE Port Moresby Suburban Rugby League heads into its finals this weekend at the Kone Tigers Oval, Waigani.
Competition chairman Bosky Koke said the top eight for each division — Under-20 and A grade — had been finalised and they were ready for the playoffs.
“After finalising the top eight for both divisions, Killerton Falcons are minor premiers in the senior grade and Waliya in the U20 division,” Koke said.
“The minor premiers have been given a small cash prize.
“We had a two-week break for all our top eight sides to get ready for the finals and now we’re ready for the finals.
“We hope to complete our competition at the end of this month,” Koke added.
Meanwhile, in game three of the 2018 Suburb of Origin series, the Country Maroons walked away with the title prize after defeating the City Blues 18-8 at Kone Tigers Oval last Saturday. The Maroons have won the two of the three series against the Blues which started in 2016.
Maroons walked away with Telikom PNG-sponsored K1000 and Blues were reward K500 for their effort in the three-game series.
Koke called on the top eight teams from both grades to be on time and to he reminded fans to be on their best behaviour and to act responsibily when supporting their teams.
