Port Moresby Corporate 9s attracts 21 teams so far

THE Port Moresby Corporate Nines rugby league competition will be staged at Bava Park on Aug 26.
Sportz Events manager Solomon Ravu said 21 teams had shown interest to take part.
The teams that have expressed interest are: Brian Bell 1, Brian Bell 2, Avennell Engineering Systems, The Funeral Home, Bishop Brothers, Spidertek Ltd, Goodman Fielders, PNG Ports Corporation, PNG Power, Bank of PNG, Dept of Finance, Eda Ranu, Puma Energy, Price Waterhouse Coopers, National Capital District Commission 1 and NCD 2.
The new teams are Digicel, Nasfund, Bank South Pacific, Kina Bank and Property PNG. Last year’s runners-up Central government have not indicated their participation this year.
There are only 24 spots available with 21 taken.
The competition will move from the Bava Park to the NFS after four rounds. The final will be on Oct 20.
