Soccer’s race for top 4 open

THE race to finish on top of the Port Moresby Soccer Association’s Premier League is going to be battle among the top-four teams.
With four rounds remaining, the title is up for grabs.
It was announced earlier this year that the team that topped the Premier League at the completion of all the regular matches would be crowned champions.
Defending champions Mungkas returned to the top of the table after last weekend’s 1-0 win over Keleruina.
They will battle it out with PS Ruts, who thumped Cosmos 5-0, thanks to PNG international Obert Bika’s hat-trick.
“Mungkas obviously set the benchmark and seem favourites to finish on top, but they will have to win their last four games to do so,” competition manager Paul Karambi said.
“PS Ruts have three wins and after last week’s impressive performance, they will surely put Mungkas to the test.”
Second-placed Keleruina have proven that they can finish on top if they are taken lightly.
Keleruina have been dominant against all teams in the competition except for Mungkas.
